Ten Thousand Things

Am planning my next dinner with people I have yet to meet. I have done this twice in the past where I announce a dinner and ask people who want to join to send me a letter. My requirements are, they are not stalkers and they want to share conversation. From the respondents for the first dinner, I randomly chose the attendees. For the second dinner, I specified certain types of professionals I was looking for—a lawyer, priest, traveler, doctor, etc..

For this upcoming dinner, I am looking for people who are somewhat unique. These are people who have REALLY interesting stories and whose conduct of their lives may raise eyebrows.

1) A detective or someone in the intelligence (military, police) service who could give us a glimpse of what life in that arena is all about.

2) A woman who sells her body for sex. Active or retired does not matter. It would be enlightening to hear her story.

3) An ex priest or a wayward religious who is wiling to share his journey

4) A psychiatrist

5) A rocker who lives a bohemian life

6) Someone who has served jail time

7) Someone with cancer

8) An ex-addict

You must be willing to listen and to talk as well. It will be a night to remember and will be private. I may write about it but identities and other details will be withheld to protect everyone.
